I was involved with the More House community and events during the period of about 1974-1980 in the Bay Area. I used to go to Mark groups led by Victor. Some of my friends there were Ray Vetterlein and Judy Arndt (when they were a couple). I never lived in a community house, but I found their approach refreshing...and as you say, kind of "advanced."
Cool :-). Ray Vetterlein was the person who gave Nicole Daedone her first do-date. Rumor has it (propagated by her) that she she was due to be Baranco's successor, but Cindy stepped in and said no. I don't know the truth of the accusations against Nicole, but generally believe that she does not deserve to be getting all the negative attention and legal pressure that she is (last time I heard she was denied bail and held in a cell with her top lieutenant Cheryl).
Morehouse has been surrounded by cult accusations from the get-go. I have researched this a lot and don't see credible evidence.
Interesting. I knew Nicole a little bit, but I know nothing about the evidence against her. My intuition says there was injustice in her sentencing. She invited me to do a few evening presentations at One Taste in the early 2000's, and she did an interview with me about Getting Real that I have a copy of somewhere.
